Judge Albert Miller was born on May 10, 1810, in Hartland, Windsor, Vermont. He later moved to the Saginaw area, where he became a teacher, business owner, farmer, and ultimately a judge. In 1830s, he taught in Grand Blanc and Genesee County, and by 1835, he was appointed as the judge of the probate court.
